Thank you for taking the time to visit the website of the École Française Internationale de Kampala (EFIK) and perhaps to consider enrolling your children here.

EFIK is an institution accredited by the French Ministry of National Education and welcomes students from pre-nursery (toute petite section) to Terminale (final year of high school).

Thanks to the school’s membership in the AEFE network (Agency for French Education Abroad), students can continue their education anywhere in the world.

Every morning, 310 students from 46 different countries enter the school gates. EFIK is therefore a human-scale and multicultural school.

Multiculturalism and multilingualism are the pillars of an education based on humanist values. Indeed, from moyenne section (middle preschool), students receive instruction in French, complemented by learning the English language. In elementary school, students benefit from the EMILE program (science and sports classes are taught in English), and in middle school, 8 to 10 hours per week are taught in English.

From 6e (Grade 6), students also begin learning Spanish.

Located between two residential hills, EFIK offers a very green and secure environment. The campus is undergoing expansion. Over the past four years, sports facilities have been modernized, and new spaces have been created for preschool, high school, the library, and the canteen.

EFIK is also committed to addressing today’s challenges, by promoting daily physical activity and raising awareness about sustainable development. In this spirit, the school has worked to obtain the “Génération 2024” label (linked to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games) and the “EFE3D” label (French school abroad engaged in a sustainable development approach), for which EFIK has reached Level 2.
